Fast, friendly, convenient!

My entire family has been patients of TO since we moved to Trumansburg. Dr. Neil, Karen, and Izzie are exactly what a hometown family owned business should be; friendly, knowledgeable, caring, experts in their field with up to date technology, and the added bonus of knowing everyone by name. Kind of like “Cheers,” Besides the typical professional care during routine eye exam visits, their “extras” (but perhaps not for them), put them in the “above and beyond” category. One of my sons wanted to wear contacts when playing hockey, Karen spent what seemed like hours teaching him how to put them in. I mean with patience, grace, calm, and humor. I’d like to know if anyone from the large chain eye practices would do that. Whenever we need a “fix” of some sort on glasses, whether we bought them there or not, they are willing to fix them, just walk in. They will help with a smile. I’m thankful they are open on Saturdays to accommodate the working folks who can’t get there during the work week. That’s one of the things an awesome practice will do; be accommodating as possible to the needs of their clients. Thanks Trumansburg Optical!

Last week my two year old and four year old had a tug-of-war with my glasses – it was a spectacle (sorry!) that left my frames certainly worse for the wear, if not totally unwearable. Within a week Neil and company had me able to see clearly again without having to look like Eustace Tilley. Prompt, professional, empathetic – I’m happy to say that now I have an anecdote and not a headache!

Trumansburg Optical and Dr Neil is what small business is all about in a small town. Personal friendly service with a person who really cares about you, asking all the questions that other doctors could care less about. This gives you a much more personal feeling about your eye care.

This place is wonderful. The person upfront is extremely warm and very helpful. They really work with you to find the best fit. The doctor did a great job. I appreciated the high tech instruments that weren’t at my old doctors office as they were more comfortable to use.

The staff is so helpful and good at what they do. I have been back a few times because I damaged my glasses and they have fixed me up. Super friendly and knowledgable.

The office is clean and everyone who works here is super nice and friendly. (It seems that the closer you get to Trumansburg, the classier people become.) Not only does TrumansburgOpt take my insurance but they helped me navigate my ridiculous insurance company. Gotta love ’em for that!!. I also like that they have equipment that basically makes eye dialation unecessary. I would definitely recommend this place.

Dr. Henninger is easygoing and was a pleasure to deal with. In and out easily, no issues at all. Would definitely come back next time I needed glasses or an eye exam.
